Changes to DIMO RewardsUpdated 2 hours ago

DIMO token holders approved DIP-12, which ends the weekly Baseline Issuance of $DIMO for connecting a vehicle and sharing vehicle data.

What changed?

Following DIP-12:

  • Weekly Baseline Issuance rewards have ended.
  • Vehicles no longer need to qualify for weekly rewards.
  • Points, streaks, and reward levels associated with Baseline Issuance have been retired.

What happens to $DIMO I already earned?

Any $DIMO distributed before the change remains yours.

Previously earned $DIMO that is locked will continue to follow its existing lock terms.

Have all DIMO rewards ended?

No. DIP-12 only ends Baseline Issuance.

Marketplace partners and apps may still offer $DIMO, discounts, or other incentives. These offers have their own eligibility requirements and are separate from Baseline Issuance.

Why did Baseline Issuance end?

Baseline Issuance was introduced to encourage vehicle connections and help grow the DIMO network.

DIP-12 shifts the protocol's focus from issuing $DIMO for vehicle connectivity toward creating value through actual usage of DIMO's vehicle data infrastructure.

For full details, read DIP-12: The Protocol Direction in the DIMO Foundation governance documentation.
