Share Your Car With SomeoneUpdated 9 months ago

This feature is in experimental beta! You must have Matic tokens to use it.

1. Ensure that you have Matic tokens in your DIMO-connected wallet.

All transactions that alter the state of the blockchain have a cost. DIMO is on the Polygon blockchain, which means this cost is paid in Matic.

DIMO Mobile covers this cost for vehicle minting and pairing but does not for sharing (at least not yet). While this feature is in experimental beta, you will need to provide your own Matic tokens to pay the blockchain gas fees. If you have already received $DIMO tokens, you should already have enough Matic in your wallet to pay this fee.

You can check your matic balance using this URL. Replace insert your address here with the wallet address you use with DIMO. It should start with 0x and if you'd like help finding it, check out Retrieving your wallet public address. If you have Matic, it should show up at the top.

If you don't have Matic tokens and need some, you can either wait until the token distribution on Monday or you can buy some. Moonpay offers a simple solution for acquiring Matic with a credit card here.
